Thursday, November 29 @ 8pm: Concert – Ensembe Calliopée « Les Etats Unis, Terre d’accueil #3 »

This concert marks the beginning of the second year of Ensemble Calliopée‘s artistic residency at the Fondation des Etats-Unis. In this program, Ensemble Calliopée continues to explore the reciprocal influences and cultural exchanges that have resulted from the migration of many musicians and composers between the « New World » and the « Old Continent », especially showing the United States’ history of welcoming artists.

This project, which also includes several outreach events in Parisian hospitals, is supported by the Mairie de Paris. Karine Lethiec, violist and artistic director of Ensemble Calliopée, is working on these special programs with Harriet Hale Woolley scholars Elias Rodriguez, Sergio Herrera and Andrew Briggs, who are in residence at the FEU this year.

The second concert of the season will take place on April 11, 2019 with the participation of the three Harriet Hale Woolley scholars.
